Amber Fort:




Amber Fort Timings: 8AM - 530 PM

Entry Fee: INR 10 for Indians, INR 50 for foreign tourists


Perched on a hilltop, Amer Fort is a prominent tourist attraction in the Pink City. The large citadel is a fine example of Rajputana architecture due to its immense fortifications and sandstone charm. For a long time, the ancient fortress used to be the residence to Kachwaha clan. Located on the outskirts of Jaipur, it takes a whole day to explore the insides of the fort. Sheesh Mahal and Sukh Niwas are a few major points of attractions inside the fort. City Palace Fort:

Once the seat of kings, City Palace has now become one of the major tourist spots in Jaipur. The huge palace sits in the city centre with a vast complex and several courtyards, buildings, and gardens. The foundation of palace was laid down by the creator of the Jaipur City, Sawai Jai Singh. It is built with red and pink sandstone where you can find a fusion of Rajput and European architecture in every nook and corner of the palace. Nahargarh Fort:




Timings: 9AM to 430 PM

Entry Fee: INR 50 for Indians, INR 200 for foreign tourists


Perched on a hill of Aravalli Ranges, Nahargarh Fort offers you the most breathtaking views of the city. Built as a hunting retreat for the royalty, Nahargarh Fort is a fine example of Indo-European architecture. Overlooking a beautiful lake, the inside of the fort is decorated with beautiful murals and stuccos. The whole Pink city looks ethereal from the top. Besides the architecture of the fort, Jaipur Wax Museum inside the fort is another attraction which you ought not to miss. It houses 32 wax statues of prominent personalities.


Jaigarh Fort:




A popular attraction among tourists, Jaigarh Fort is known for its grandeur appearance and scenic landscapes. Perched on the ‘Hill of Eagles’, it overlooks both Amer Fort and Jaipur City. The impenetrable fort was where weapons and distilleries were stored. Jaivana Cannon which is the world’s largest cannon is housed inside the fort. The Indo-Persian style architecture is dominated by huge walls, high watchtowers and water reserve systems, all of which were a fine example of science and technology in 18th century. Ram Harihar Temple, Kaal Bhairav Temple, and the museum are some of the points of interests inside the fort.


Hawa Mahal:




Standing tall with aplomb in the city, Hawa Mahal is hard to miss. Known as the ‘Palace of Windows’, the colorful five-storey facade was constructed so that the royal women could look at the festivities and commotion from the windows. The numerous windows or Jharokhas provide fresh cool breeze on the hot summer days.
