The Paro Valley is an important tourist destination in Bhutan. This valley offers nature, adventure, lush green mountain passes and cultural places to see in your Bhutan tour. The best time to visit Bhutan is from March to May (Summer Season) and September to November (Winter Season). However, it is an all-season tourist place, if you can withstand its cold temperature.

1. Bumdra

2. Chele La, Paro

3. Drukgyel Dzong

4. Kila Nunnery

You can find the nunnery on the hanging cliffs. These are the oldest nunnery in Bhutan. This is the Buddhist College, which is still functioning in Paro. It is a tourist destination to see its cultural and religious values of Bhutan and Buddhism.

5. National Museum, Paro

This is the only museum to see the Bhutan history and culture in one place once in Paro. This museum may look small, but it has a vast collection of Bhutan history. It is also present in the scenic location of the Paro Valley. You can go by walk from Paro Market to reach this museum.

6. Pilgrim’s Valley

This is a famous valley for mountain trekking in Paro. You can see the typical Bhutanese village and its people. You can find many monks in this place. That is why it is called the pilgrim’s valley in Paro. It is an important tourist attraction place to see its scenic villages in this lush green valley.

7. Rinpung Dzong, Paro

This is the perfect place to see the Bhutanese architecture. They are mostly covered by the stones and woodworks. The wood carving and stone art are distinguished from any other form of architectural marvel. This type of structures is found in this heavenly abode of Bhutan only.

8. Soi Yaktsa Trek

If you have not experienced the high altitude trekking on the Himalayas, this is the best place to do it one in your Paro tour. You will trek at a height of 15,000 feet above the mean sea level. You can see most of the mountain peaks lying towards the Indian region from this place. The Jumolhari Mountain will look like a heaven throughout your trekking in Soi Yaktsa.

9. Tachogang Lhakhang Bridge

This is a masterpiece traditional bridge in Paro valley you must visit once in your Bhutan tour. This is the oldest iron chain bridge over the Paro Chhu River. This is a 400-years old bridge, which stood as an important landmark in Paro. You will get a thrilling experience while crossing this hanging bridge.

10. Taktsang Palphug Monastery

This is the important tourists spot in Paro. You will see a mystic structure on a 10,000 feet high deep slope cliff. It will be like a hanging monastery over this deadly mountain cliff. It will be an adrenaline rush to reach this Buddhist monastery by trekking through rigid cliff pathway. It is also known as Tigers Nest. Your jaw will get a drop, when you see this structure from a distance place.
