As you head out, plan an excursion to the best of the outdoors of Uttarakhand and make sure that you get to experience all of the mentioned activities.


1. Attend an Aarti in Haridwar:


Evening Aarti in Haridwar is famous and a magical display of color and charm which must not be missed by any nature seeker. If you are in Haridwar head to the legendary Har ki Pauri Ghat to attend the evening Aarti ceremony. The river magically transforms into a bed of floating lamps soon after the darkness falls. Filled with divine chants of hymns and fragrance of flowers and incense sticks, this place truly thrills every nature lover and can hold you transfixed for hours. Attending Aarti by the Ganges is certainly one of the must-do activities that should be considered by everyone in Uttarakhand.


2. Boat Ride in Naini Lake:


Naini Lake is a popular spot in the hills of Nainital and certainly a must-see place in Nainital. Also, known as a major point in the Nainital holiday tour packages, the Naini Lake is a lovely looking tear-shaped water body enclosed by a lush ecosystem. Do not miss the boat ride when you are out exploring the misty outdoors of Nainital. Calm waves, the chilly winds, and lined up boats cast a magical spell on every traveler. The calm waters of Naini Lake lend a comforting tone to every seeking heart. This particular activity is year-round and can be done at any point in time. Late evening is the perfect time to get the best out of this activity, and monsoon can make things utterly romantic here!


3. Robber’s Cave Dehradun:


Robber’s Cave Dehradun is one of the must-visit places in Uttarakhand. The cave, 600 m long, has a fort-like structure and rises ten meters high. Robber’s cave is famous for a strange natural phenomenon. It is here that a water stream suddenly emerges and then miraculously goes underground, only to emerge again.


4. Paragliding:


Paragliding gives you a magical view of mountains and wonderful alpine from the top. To go paragliding in Uttarakhand, you don’t need a prior experience. March to June and mid-September to October is the best time to go!
